Mike Wolfe: Trail Running and Mountain Pursuits - Free

Professional ultra-runner, Mike Wolfe, will present his life long passion for mountain pursuits. Mike is a Montana native and resides with his family in Missoula. Sponsored by the Outdoor Program, Student Involvement Network, and Runners Edge.

An outdoor gear sale, open to the General Public and University Community. Want to sell your used gear? Drop it off to sell between 7-11am day of sale. Pick up unsold gear and cash payout from 5:30 - 7:30pm. Outdoor-related equipment only! The UM Outdoor Program collects 15% of the selling price. Students and general public welcome.
Gray Thompson: Expeditions in Climbing and Mountaineering - Free
Wednesday, April 30, 6:00 PM in the University Center Theatre.
Gray Thompson, a local legend as a rock climber and a geologist, will be presenting his climbing experiences with us. Gray is a retired geology professor at the UM and will be show slides and stories from some of his experiences from Lotus Flower Tower and other climbing adventures. Gray has been pushing the field of climbing and geology since the early 60’s and is still climbing hard at age 73. He has published several papers, abstracts, articles, video disks, and books in both the fields of climbing and geology. Gray has also put up several first ascents in the US, Canada, Alaska, and Europe. Come join us and be undoubtedly inspired by the legend…Gray Thompson!
