Description:

     The University of Montana Equestrian Team is a small (but successful!) team that travels throughout the Northwest for shows in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA). We compete in both hunt seat and western styles of riding, and in the past have sent members all the way to the national competition. We ride at JMG Stables in Clinton, MT, which is owned by our coach, Jeanne Gaudreau. The UMET is open to all undergraduate full time students of the University of Montana. A horse or prior experience is not required!
     The Equestrian Team is sending a rider to the Western Semi-Finals at the end of March of 2007. They also had several riders earn Highpoint and Reserve Highpoint awards at numerous shows.
