Children's Competitive Swimming

Master's Swimming
There is a membership fee/ semester to swim a masters workout: Punch passes are available. These fees cover the pool rental and coaching fees. USMS membership fees are $30.00/year, which are recommended for all swimmers.

                         Times offered:  9:00am - 10:15am on Tuesday & Thursday
                                                  10:30am - 12:00pm on Sunday
                          Dates offered:  January 3 - May 8th

Open Kayaking
Non-structured time for kayakers to practice skills.  Bring your own kayaks, paddles, etc.  The number of kayaks in the pool is limited to 12. Admittance is on a first-come first serve basis!  Admission bands will be sold at 7:00pm, no earlier.

                         Time offered:   Sunday's from 7:30pm - 9:30pm
                                                 $5.00 per person with a valid Griz Card
               Fees (not per boat):   $7.00 per person General Public
                        Dates offered:   Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24, March 2, 9, 16, April 6, 13, 20, 27

Adult Coached Swimming
There are a number of adult coached programs offered year round at the Grizzly Pool. If you can swim 1 length of pool, and want to build better endurance and technique, this is the place. Swims are available in the evenings and Sunday morning, check the schedules at the pool.

The Missoula Masters program conducts practices at the Grizzly Pool through the summer. For more information call Ellen at 243-2763. Punch pass fees for Master include entry fee and pool rental. Workout schedule will be posted at the pool.

Special Activities
We offer a Water Safety Carnival to school groups, the program is specifically designed for 3rd and 4th grade classes. In an hour the pool staff will swim your class through a variety of safety activities and fun (students do not need to be excellent swimmers to participate). Please call and talk to Ellen or Jen for details.

If you have any questions or would like to arrange a date and time please call the pool. This is an excellent pre- summer activity for kids.

Certification Classes
We offer certification in American Red Cross Lifeguard (including CPR-PR and 1st aid)
and Water Safety Instructor through the spring and early summer months. Courses start in February, and generally finish in a month (8 classes), evenings/weekend times. Please call to put your name on the interest list. Recertification options are available, talk to Jen.

Water Certification Courses:
$190.00 includes books. Schedule Varies. Call 243-2763 for schedule and information. Minimum of 6 participants. Must be at least 15 years old 

ARC WSI Certification Class:
$190.00 includes books. Evening and Weekend times. Begins last half of May.
