How to Forward Your @umontana.edu Address

All bills from the University are sent to your student email account (firstname.lastname@umontana.edu). If you find this account hard to log on to, then you might want to consider setting it up to forward to an account you check regularly, such as Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, or Gmail. You only need to do this once, and from then on any e-mail sent to your university account will be forwarded to the other account.

1. Log on to Cyberbear. Click on Personal Information, then click on Standard UM-M Computer Access User ID.
2. SCAUIDs look something like this:ab123456
3. Go to http://grizmail.umt.edu and and click the email login button.
4. A login box should appear. A SCAUID must be preceded with "missoula\" and then your SAUID. Thus, your login will look like the following: missoula\ab123456.
5. Once you are logged on, Click Rules, then click on New
6. A rule edit window will appear. At the bottom of the window will be a will be the option to "Forward it to" and then a text box. Click inside that text box.
7. In the text box type in the email address you would like to have your student email forwarded to (ie GMail, Yahoo, Hotmail, ect). Do not set any other options or type anything in other text boxes. If you do you may not get all of your email forwarded.
8. Click "Save and Close".
