How do I sign up for DirectConnect in-room network access?

        In order to get an Internet connection in your room, you must first sign up for the DirectConnect service in your CyberBear account.  If you've never logged into your CyberBear account before, your user ID is your student ID number and your pin number will be your birthday.  Once logged into CyberBear, click on the 'student services' tab, then click on the 'Residence Life Services' link, then select the current term.  The page that is displayed should show your room assignment for the term you selected.  Click on the second link at the bottom of the page that says 'Sign up for Computer DirectConnect'.  This link will take you to another page that displays the Computer DirectConnect Agreement. Clicking on the 'Sign Up' button at the bottom the page will sign you up for Internet in your room.

Once you get to campus, there is a simple setup process on your computer that you must complete before you can connect to our network.  When you have completed this step correctly, you will be ready to surf the world wide web.
