Billing and Refund Policies

Billing for the academic year (approx. Aug 15 to May 15) is $160 billed directly to your account through business services.  Summer charges vary and will be available in April.  This cost is for one device connected physically to the wall jack and ,where possible, additional wall jacks activated and charged additional. Charges are initiated upon completing the sign up process on cyberbear and are pro-rated monthly.   For example, activation in September is for the full amount versus a lesser amount if activating in November. Partial up-front charges for only fall semester, one month, etc. are not permitted for residents anticipating attending only fall semester or those in specialty, exchange, and other fall-only programs. 

Refund Requests are only possible upon proper checkout.  Requests are not automatically approved and are submitted with authorization for us to request additional reasonable means for validation.  Approved requests will be posted to the student's business service account and may be available by check in 2-4 weeks depending on account status. Denied requests are final as activation is for the entire academic year.  Valid reasons approved may change anytime without notice but are generally described as follows: 

Moving out at the end or anytime during fall semester will receive a refund of half the total cost of the yearly service.  No refund is available during spring semester. 

Changing your mind during fall semester will receive a refund of half the total cost of the yearly service.  No refund is available during spring semester.

University caused or university initiated situations including inability to get classes, unexpected hardship such as securing financial aid, eviction, suspension or expulsion.  No refunds are available for temporary service interruptions.  A monthly pro-rated amount less a $10 processing charge is available for reasons caused by or initiated by the university

Emergencies resulting in withdrawal from the university due to family, personal or other similar reasons will receive a monthly pro-rated amount less a $10 processing charge.
