Course Syllabus Statements
Disability Services for Students encourages faculty members to inform students of their intent to provide reasonable program modifications to them. This notice invites students to initiate the modification process in a respectful and effective way. Disability Services recommends that instructors include one of the following statements in their course syllabi. Addition to a written statement, Disability Services recommends that instructors announce their intent on the first day of class.
Option 1
This course is accessible to and usable by otherwise qualified students with disabilities. To request reasonable program modifications, please consult with the instructor. Option 2
If you are a student with a disability and wish to discuss reasonable modifications for this course, contact me privately to discuss the specific modifications you wish to request. Please be advised I may request that you provide a letter from Disability Services for Students verifying your right to reasonable modifications. If you have not yet contacted Disability Services, located in Lommasson Center 154, please do so in order to verify your disability and to coordinate your reasonable modifications.
