    Notes:  GERMANFEST IN MISSOULA—Sept 7 2008 marks the 15th Anniversary of Missoula's sister city relationship with Neckargemünd. Join us in Caras Park on September 7, 2008 for the annual Germanfest celebration to welcome a student delegation from Neckargemünd and to enjoy a few new surprises!

    Notes:  Ice Cream Social Set To Welcome Students The Seventh Annual Community Ice Cream Social to welcome new and returning UM students to campus and to Missoula neighborhoods will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, on the 400 block of University Avenue. The event features special guests, including UM's mascot, Monte, and live music by folk musicians Baba Ganoush. UM Executive Vice President Jim Foley will be on hand to welcome those who attend on behalf of the University. Participants can browse information tables and are eligible for door prizes. Ice cream for the event is supplied by Big Dipper, Goldsmith's and Baskin-Robbins.

    Notes:  LOLO PEAK BACKPACKING TRIP—Sept. 13-14 Open to the UM campus community. Trip is Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 13-14. Cost: $58. Includes transportation and guides.
