Meet the 2008 Festival Coordinators

This is the main international student/scholar event of the year. The festival, sponsored by the International Student Association, consists of country displays, selling of ethnic foods, cultural performances, and more! Over 3,000 people from the campus and community attend this extremely popular Missoula event. And it's all put on by our students. The participation of foreign students and scholars makes this event a success!

It takes about 4 months of planning to produce this big festival. Many of our students get their spouses, friends, roommates, etc. involved to help represent their country. Here are some of the ways that students participate.

Provide a hands-on craft/activity/song/game for Kids in the CHILDREN'S WORLD. Create a craft, teach a song or dance to kids, play a game from their country, read a story - anything to bring their culture to kids at the special Children's World section of festival.

If you are a student considering The University of Montana, please consider being a participant in this wonderful event. You might consider bringing some of the following with you: items for displays, special ethnic dress, musical instruments or music needed for cultural performances, or a special food ingredient needed for cooking!
