I. Topic 1: GSA Social Event Planning

a) Graduate Student Olympics at the Elks Club. Thurs 10/23, 6-9 pm

b) Event activities confirmed and most items attained (Balloon animals, trivia, name that tune, hula-hoop, scategories, pass the orange, stupid human body trick, dance off, air band, guess how many M&M’s in the jar)

II. Topic 2: Graduate Assistantship Payroll changes

a) Human Resources has modified the payroll schedule for graduate students with assistantships without providing notification.

b) Leslie will look at contracts and regulations to determine if there is a violation of any sort. Pending outcome, graduate students and administration may be notified.

c) On hold until additional information is obtained.

III. Topic 3: Graduate Initiative

a) November 24, 2008, 1-2 pm, JRH Rm. 202

b) Event notification via flyers and emails to begin soon.
