I. Topic 1: Planning for the GSA Social Event

a) Finalized planning and logistics.

b) Event this evening at 6pm.

II. Topic 2: Update of TA stipend payment issue

a) No update. To be addressed next week.

III. Topic 3: Travel Award Update

a) Travel Award money has been issued for the Fall semester only ($3,000).

b) Deadline for Travel Awards: Friday, November 21, 2008.

IV. Topic 4: 11^th Annual Leadership Conference

a) Ashot will serve as the graduate student representative for the planning committee.

V. Topic 5: Parade of Lights

a) Parade of Lights is December 6^th (the weekend before finals).

b) GSA needs to determine whether or not to participate.

VI. Topic 6: Grant Writing Workshop

a) A date (Spring semester) needs to be set for the Grant Writing Workshop.

VII. Topic 7: Graduate Initiative

a) Reminders to attend the Graduate Initiative meeting on 11/24 will be emailed to all graduate students the previous 3 consecutive Mondays and the day of the event (11/3, 11/10, 11/17, 11/24).
