I.            Topic 1: Travel Awards
a)    $3000 available to award
b)    Deadline for applications is February 9 by 5:00 pm, applications available on the website or outside of the GSA cubicle
c)     Decision to award six awards at $500 each
 
II.            Topic 2: Volunteer Opportunity
a)    Big Sky Documentary Film Festival Feb. 13-22
b)    Each shift is three hours long
c)     You receive a t-shirt and a ticket per shift for volunteering
d)    An email was sent to all department reps with the details and the volunteer sign-up schedule
 
III.            Topic 3: Grant Writing Workshop
a)    Thursday, February 5 from 4:10 – 6:00 pm in room SS 344
b)    Speakers will be Chris Newbold, J.D. from Non-profit Management and Dr. Diana Lurie from Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences
c)     A grant writing workshop page will be built on the website with the handout from the workshop and other information for students who will not be able to attend
d)    Schuyler will contact the technology coordinator to ensure the room will allow the speakers to utilize PowerPoint
 
IV.            Topic 4: ASUM Budgeting
a)    Student Groups 101: Budgeting, a mandatory meeting to inform student groups about the budgeting process. Held Feb. 5 after the grant writing workshop from 6:00 – 7:30 pm in UC 333.
b)    Budget Requests are due February 13 in the ASUM office by 4:00 pm
c)     ASUM Lobbying will be Feb. 23-26
d) Formal lobbying is from 5:00-9:00 pm: Feb. 23 in room 330/331, Feb. 24 in room 326/327, Feb. 25 in room 330/331, and Feb. 26 in room 330/331. 
e)    Informal lobbying is from 9:00-10:00 pm in the same room directly after the formal lobbying and is mandatory.
