I.            Topic 1: Travel Awards
a)    Deadline for Spring travel awards is Feb 9, 2009 by 5pm. Any unused monies will be applied to summer travel award funds.
b)    Summer travel awards cover the dates of 6/1 to 8/31
 
II.            Topic 2: Big Sky Documentary Film Festival
a)    Volunteers are needed to help at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival.
b)    A preliminary meeting for volunteers will be held at 115 W. Front Street at 7pm on February 9th for those interested
 
III.            Topic 3: Grant Writing Workshop
a)    The Grant Writing Workshop will be held this evening.
b)    Chris Newbold has recently cancelled, but Marianne Palaia will be the new non-profit grant writing presenter.
 
IV.            Topic 4: Spring Budgeting
a)    The deadline for submitting spring budgeting requests is February 13.
b)    Scheduled meeting time with ASUM is TBA, but will be between 2/23 and 2/26.
c)     Attendance of as many GSA members for the formal and informal sessions would be very beneficial.
 
V.            Topic 5: Three Credit Continuous Enrollment
a)    The three credit continuous enrollment item has been modified and is proposed for adoption on 7/1/09.
 
VI.            Topic 6: Upcoming Events
a)    February: tentatively on 2/19 or 2/26, the GSA’s first meet and greet. Schuyler will call to see if any of the following locations are willing to offer the GSA a deal: the Palace, the Old Post, the Pressbox, and Sean Kelly’s.
b)    March: this will be the month to place an ad in the Kaimen to recruit for next year’s GSA officers.
c)     April: have a social during Graduate Appreciation Week?
