The University Center recognizes that the development of the whole student is achieved through in-class and out-of-class learning opportunities and experiences provided through programs designed to enhance cultural, intellectual, leadership, personal, and professional development. Through these opportunities for learning and growing, students will graduate from The University of Montana with a better understanding of themselves and their peers, as they relate to involvement in organizations, chosen professions and responsibilities as part of a larger community.

In addition to organizing leadership opportunities, our SILD professional and student staff also coordinate a variety of entertainment events for the campus community. Through the implementation of student development theories, we assist students in cultivating environments that enhance diversity, encourage civic engagement, promote the establishment of meaningful interpersonal relationships, provide leadership and experiential learning opportunities, as well as entertain.
