The best part of my job is: Helping others create and understand new cuisines.

The hardest part about my job is: Staying focused on one task.

The strangest job I’ve ever had was: Polishing Al Gore’s grapes.

My refrigerator always contains: Curry and mole pastes.

My favorite meal is: Changes with the wind: paella, cassoulet, banh xeo, chanka nabe, pierogies, most of all any food in its very prime and prepared simply.

The best restaurant I’ve ever eaten at was: Olivers in Calgary Canada.

People tell me the celebrity I most resemble is: Diego Rivera.

In my spare time, I like to: Daydream about fishing and eating my way around the world. Sigh.

People are often most surprised to find out that I: If I told you then it wouldn’t be a surprise.

The living person I’d most like to have dinner with is: Fred Richards (my apprenticeship chef).

The last good book I read was: “Sons of the Shaking Earth, The Anthropology of Mesoamerica”.

My favorite movie is: National Lampoon Christmas Vacation.

On television I never miss: Lost.

My car stereo is almost always tuned to: My Spanish audio CD.

Five things I can’t live without: My wife (she may read this), my dog, great scenery, Food Lover’s Companion (book), fly rod.
