Recycling!

Missoula has a consumer recycling facility called Pacific Steel, located at 2600 Latimer (between Reserve and Broadway).  Simply drive-up to drop off your recyclables.

They accept the following items:

Cardboard

Newspaper

Office Paper

Magazines

Aluminum Cans

Some common plastics

Milk Jugs

Aluminum

Stainless Steel

What about Glass Jars & Containers?

Unfortunately, there is no longer a place to recycle glass in Missoula and some types of plastics in Missoula.  With this knowledge, some individuals purposefully avoid buying products in glass containers.  If you do buy glass containers and would like to find something to do with them, The Good Food Store (located on 3rd Street and Russel) takes CLEAN jars with lids to put on their shelves for customers to use for free to store spices.  It beats using a plastic baggie!  ...or spending money on spice jars.
