Welcome to The University of Montana! Not only does the University provide challenging and competitive academic activities, but there are also hundreds of ways to get involved outside of the classroom. Whether you are interested in developing your leadership skills, immersing yourself in new and exciting cultures, or finding a group of people to play soccer with, this website will help you make the most of your college experience.
Getting involved in extracurricular activities is a great way to meet new people and explore new possibilities. With over one-hundred and fifty different student groups, from the Geology Club to opera theatre to water polo, opportunities to pursue your interests or learn a new skill are plentiful. Interested in taking a long weekend to go camping? The Outdoor Program will help you map out a trip and even rent you the equipment. Need a ride to campus? ASUM Transportation has bikes to rent and buses that run all day and into the night.
This guide can assist you in finding the resources and services that the University offers to help you navigate your way through the time you spend here. You will find information on internships, leadership opportunities, annual campus events, and much, much more.
We’re all here to get an education with the hopes of finding a career or job once we graduate, but there is much more to student life than sitting in a classroom. We hope that you’ll take advantage of some of the opportunities listed here and truly explore all that UM has to offer!
