The Division of Student Affairs at The University of Montana offers a student employment program which allows individuals to explore career opportunities that exist in the various UM Student Affairs departments. Designed as an immersion learning program, SAIL gives successful candidates the opportunity to spend a semester in four week rotations of four selected Student Affairs departments gaining knowledge of each department’s programs, services and operations. After successful completion of the four rotational experiences, students then have the option of doing an in-depth semester-long internship in one of those four departments. The SAIL program provides an opportunity for students interested in a career in student affairs to gain valuable hands-on experience.
