The Big Sky Employment & Academic Enrichment Fair is UM's largest fair that offers students more than just a job! Organizations attending are looking to hire full-time professional positions, part-time positions, internships, summer jobs, volunteer opportunities, research and academic enrichment experiences in a wide range of career fields. This year, Academic Enrichment programs will also attend the fair and share information about out-of-classroom experiences such as volunteering, service learning, undergraduate research, domestic and International Internships, Study Abroad, Work Abroad, field experiences, and much more. This career/academic enrichment fair is for UM students and alumni. Academic Enrichment will also offer student panels in the UC Theater on Wednesday, giving the audience an insider's view on ways to get involved in these out-of-classroom opportunities.
Last year there were over 50+ employers looking to offer opportunities. Several of those organizations were looking to fill between 15 and 42 seasonal, part-time, and internship opportunities, while others were here to network with, meet and hire for full-time professional positions.
On the day after the fair, Thursday, February 21, employers will be conducting formal one-on-one interviews with qualified candidates they met at the career fair or that sign-up prior to the fair in Griz eRecruiting.
The Big Sky Employment & Academic Enrichment Fair is an effective and inexpensive opportunity for recruiters to meet, network with, and interview qualified applicants. It is also a great opportunity for students to gain insight on what employment opportunities exist and what employers are looking for in qualified candidates.
