Peers Reaching Out (PROs)PROs: Peers Reaching Out
PROs are UM students who take a class for credit to learn about peer education. Not only do they get a chance to get involved in current issues for the student body and meet new people, they also learn how present health issues to their fellow students in the residence halls, classes, fraternities, sororities, and other University groups.
Some programs include Speed Dating, Condom Bingo, Safer Sex Twister, Aromatherapy, and more. PROs staff information tables where students can learn about healthy resources and programs. If you are trying to request a program, feel free to look over our comprehensive list of programs and you can make your request for us to come and present that program online.
PROs address partying safe, safer sex, positive body image, nutrition, stress, and more.
They also learn by having fun- they go on a retreat and have national traveling opportunities to various peer education conferences.
