Disordered Eating and Body Image: Basics and Services

Anorexia Nervosa (self-starvation and excessive weight loss), Bulimia Nervosa (cyclical overreating- bingeing- followed by the countering of self-induced vomitting), and Binge Eating Disorder, BED, (recurrent overreating without compensation for the binge) are all potentially life-threatening disorders that harm the body and its ability to function properly.

More commonly than not, eating disorders are about more than just food and weight, despite the focus of the disorder. Thus, to determine what an eating disorder really is for you or a friend, contact one of our resources below!
