Meal Plans

Meal Plans provide MAXIMUM flexibility . . . .To ensure that you have several healthy and nutritious food options, The University of Montana requires that all students living in a residence hall purchase a meal plan. A meal plan is a pre-paid purchase of meals for the semester. Each meal plan provides you with satisfying meals without spending your precious time shopping, preparing and cleaning up.

University Dining Services offers three meal plan options:

• THE ALL CAMPUS MEAL PLAN is the best value for your money. This plan is accepted at ALL of our restaurants across campus.
• THE LOMMASSON PLUS MEAL PLAN may be used at the Lommasson Center restaurants and Jus Chill'n in the Fitness and Recreation Center. Please consider carefully which meal plan will best meet your dining needs.
• The FOOD ZOO 19 MEAL PLAN is our new meal plan that provides access to the Food Zoo Dining Room, Sunday through Saturday providing 19 entrances per week, one for each Breakfast, Brunch/Lunch and Dinner served. 

The All Campus and Lommasson Plus plans provide a Weekly Meal Plan Fund designed to ensure that meals can be purchased each week for the entire semester.  Food purchases are deducted from your Weekly Meal Plan Fund and may be used as quickly or as moderately as you choose.  Weekly Meal Plan Funds are reset every Sunday morning; unused Weekly Meal Plan Funds are NOT carried forward from one week to the next.  The Food Zoo 19 Meal Plan counts reset every Sunday morning and do not carry over from one meal period to the next. RESIDENTIAL MEAL PLANS - Fall 2012 and Spring 2013

* The Weekly Meal Fund balance is based on the academic calendar and will be prorated for short weeks.

** The Food Zoo entrance price of $3.25 represents food cost only. If a student was to eat all meals in the Food Zoo, the actual cost per meal with overhead is $6.08 for the All Campus Meal Plan and $7.69 for the Lommasson Plus Meal Plan, and $5.74 for the Food Zoo 19 Meal Plan.

The Food Zoo cash entrance price is:  Breakfast - $8.00; Lunch - $9.00; Dinner - $10.00

The All Campus Meal Plan is accepted at both campuses of the College of Technology.

IMPORTANT DATES - FALL SEMESTER 2012

• Meal plan service begins - Saturday, August 25, 2012 (10:30 a.m. in the Food Zoo Dining Room)
• Last Day to Change Meal Plans - Friday, September 7, 2012
• Last Day to Cancel Meal Plans - Friday, September 28, 2012
• Last Day of Meal Plan Service - Friday, December 14, 2012 at 5:30 p.m.

IMPORTANT DATES - SPRING SEMESTER 2013

• Meal plan service begins - Saturday, January 26, 2013 (10:30 a.m. in the Food Zoo Dining Room)
• Last Day to Change Meal Plans - Friday, February 8, 2013
• Last Day to Cancel Meal Plans - Friday, March 1, 2013
• Last Day to Meal Plan Serivce - Friday, May 17, 2013 at 5:30 p.m.

(Students may upgrade their meal plan anytime during the semester.)
