Spring Diversity Workshop Request for Proposals

As a continuation of The University of Montana’s Annual Day of Dialogue a $500 scholarship is being offered in support of a student/faculty/staff partnership. This is an opportunity for a campus partnership to showcase research, explore professional interests, or share experiences related to issues of diversity. The scholarship will be available for groups who are interested in hosting a diversity workshop or program in the Spring Semester, 2013. All members of campus are encouraged to submit proposals.

Requirements for the award include:

That the program, workshop, presentation, or performance be held in the Spring of 2013.
That the program, workshop, presentation, or performance be held on campus and be free and open to the entire UM community.
That the program, workshop, presentation, or performance be focused on issues of diversity.
That the program, workshop, presentation, or performance be a collaboration of faculty/students, faculty/staff, or students/staff.
That the program, workshop, presentation, or performance be in line with the mission of the Day of Dialogue and that it specifically demonstrate or model diversity through civil discourse.

Proposals are due on February 15, 2013. All proposals will be reviewed and the winning proposal chosen by a subcommittee of the Day of Dialogue Planning Committee. After the Spring program, the recipients of the scholarship will be required to prepare a report for the Day of Dialogue planning committee regarding how the funds were used to support the program.
