This short video discusses test modifications and the test scheduling process for the office of Disability Services. Test modifications are important to ensure a level playing field for many students with disabilities. Test Modifications include things like extended testing times, the use of a reader or scribe, the use of a private testing room, a Sign Language Interpreter, a proof reader, or the use of with assistive technology, including a computer.
To determine if you are eligible for these modifications, you can set up an appointment with one of our coordinators by calling 406-243-2243.
In this video we have broken this process up into four steps which are as follows:
Step One: Obtain your test modification form.
Step Two: Meet with your Professor to fill out the modification form together. The form is divided into four sections that must be filled out entirely.
These sections are:
Contact and Course Information
Testing Dates and Times
how your instructor wants to deliver and receive exams
the actual testing modifications you and your coordinator agreed upon
Step Three: Return your test modification from to the Disability Services Testing Coordinator.
Step Four: Arrive at Disability Services on time, ready to take your exam.
