  • Event Details: "Nooners" Music Performace
    Date:  04/02/2008
    Location:  Noon, FREE, UC Atrium
    Notes:  Free Noon-Hour Music At UC Drop by the University Center Atrium at noon to enjoy the sounds of local musicians at two upcoming "Nooners" performances. John Floridis will play on Wednesday, April 2. Floridis has been part of the Missoula music scene since the early 1990s and has toured extensively in the West. He describes his music as "Big Sky of Montana meets the Rust Belt of Cleveland." Both shows last for one hour. All "Nooners" events are free and open to the public.
  • Event Details: Employment Benefit Workshop

    Notes:  FSSS will conduct group sessions to explain the application process for F-1 and J-1 benefits (e.g., optional and curricular practical/academic training, employment, program extension, etc.), and answer questions. Tuesday, April 2 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 1 1100 a.m. – Noon Griz Central Conference Room Lommasson Center 226 Immigration benefits can only be granted to students who maintain their legal status. Under SEVIS (the internet based Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) Forms I-20 and DS-2019 are generated by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) each time a student/scholar applies for a benefit. Therefore, it becomes critical to plan in advance and to seek authorization from FSSS prior to commencement of any event.
  • Event Details: Grizzly Stadium Construction
    Date:  12/03/2007
    Location:  East side of Campus
    Notes:  Construction will begin Monday, Dec. 3, on a 2,000-seat expansion to the east side of Washington-Grizzly Stadium at The University of Montana. Drivers are asked to slow down and expect possible delays on Campus Drive.   • Event Details: Start Training for GrizzlyMan
    Date:  03/14/2008
    Location:  register at REI on Reserve St.
    Notes:  Start Training For The GrizzlyMan Race The premiere GrizzlyMan Adventure Race will send racers on an unknown course up Pattee Canyon with a map and compass beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, on the UM campus. The GrizzlyMan is the only race of its kind in the Northwest. Racers must find their way to specific checkpoints throughout the 23-mile race by foot or bike on maintained trails and open terrain. Participants must register before Friday, April 11, at Missoula REI, located on Reserve Street, or online at http://www.active.com. The $40 entry fee includes United States Adventure Racing Association membership, a shirt, products from race sponsors and food following the race. Registration is limited to 300 participants.
