Drivers are asked to slow down and expect possible delays on Campus Drive. | Notes: | Start Training For The GrizzlyMan Race The premiere GrizzlyMan Adventure Race will send racers on an unknown course up Pattee Canyon with a map and compass beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 19, on the UM campus. The GrizzlyMan is the only race of its kind in the Northwest. Racers must find their way to specific checkpoints throughout the 23-mile race by foot or bike on maintained trails and open terrain. Participants must register before Friday, April 11, at Missoula REI, located on Reserve Street, or online at http://www.active.com. The $40 entry fee includes United States Adventure Racing Association membership, a shirt, products from race sponsors and food following the race. Registration is limited to 300 participants. | Notes: | Conference Showcases Top Research The UM Conference on Undergraduate Research will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 4, on the third floor of the University Center. The annual event, which is free and open to the public, is designed to recognize and celebrate undergraduate research in all disciplines. UM geosciences Professor Jim Sears will give the conference plenary address, "Siberia in Death Valley," at 12:30 p.m. in the University Center Theater. This year more than 130 projects will be presented, including more than 60 research posters that will be displayed from 3 to 4 p.m. The conference concludes with a performance of the one-act comedy "Der Reigen" ("Around and Around") by Austrian playwright Arthur Schnitzler at 5 p.m. in the Music Recital Hall, located in the UM Music Building.
