Disability Services for Students is the University of Montana's student affairs office which assures program access to the University by students with disabilities. We coordinate and provide reasonable accommodations, advocate for an accessible and hospitable learning environment, and promote self-determination on the part of the students we serve.
They say there are two seasons in Montana -- Winter and Construction. This summer at UM there is a lot of construction, and it is bound to disrupt accessible paths of travel and parking. The best response is to plan ahead. Check the Facilities Services construction page regularly for updates.
In June, three members of Disability Services accepted new leadership roles in the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD), the professional association for those working in Disability Services at the college and university level.
