The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Scholarship at The University of Montana is awarded as a competitive merit based scholarship.
The WUE scholarship is valued at 150% of in-state tuition which brings WUE tuition to an estimated $7,500 rather than out-of-state tuition at $14,484. The WUE scholarship will not appear as a credit, but is reflected as a reduced tuition on a student's bill. You may see the WUE fees by going to the Business Services website.

Applicants must apply for admission to UM. Scholarships will be awarded on a competitive merit-basis from the information on the Admissions Application.
The WUE scholarship is automatically renewed each semester provided the student uphold the conditions of the scholarship. Students must continuously enroll as full time degree seeking students and earn a 3.0 GPA each semester. The scholarship is in effect for four years or 120 college credits.
WUE students who are going on exchange, taking temporary leave from The University of Montana or requesting an extension of their scholarship will need to contact Enrollment Services-Financial Aid (finaid@mso.umt.edu) at 406.243.5373 or by downloading the "Scholarship Appeal Form" located on our documents and forms page (Under the Scholarship Forms heading).
