American Indian Student Tuition Waiver
The American Indian Tuition Waiver eliminates tuition costs charged to a qualifying student. It does not, however, waive any other charges.
To qualify for the American Indian Tuition Waiver you must meet all of the following:
- Be one quarter (1/4) degree of Indian blood and/or be an enrolled member of a state-recognized or federally recognized Indian tribe located within the boundaries of the state of Montana. Blood quantum and/or enrollment status can be documented with a Tribal enrollment card or other Tribal documentation like a certificate. If you do not have a Tribal enrollment card yet have 1/4 blood quantum, documentation such as parent's enrollment card and birth certificates may be accepted. New applicants must attach documents with application.
- Be classified as In-State for admissions purposes
- Have demonstrated financial need each year of enrollment as determined from FAFSA
Download and fill out the American Indian Student Tuition Waiver Application and submit it to the Financial Aid Office along with blood quantum and/or enrollment status.
