What is a Griz Card?

The Griz Card is the official University of Montana identification card for students, faculty and staff. It provides easy access to University of Montana resources and packs a wealth of innovative technologies into one powerful and convenient card. Please read the Griz Card Terms and Conditions.

How do I get a Griz Card?

Affiliates & Griz Visitors

The University of Montana has set up a process by which people working or studying at the University in an unofficial, but closely associated manner may obtain access to a variety of University resources. There are two types of affiliations, Affiliates and Griz Visitors, which are verified through an approval process.

Alumni

Alumni must be members of the Alumni Association to be eligible for a Griz Card. For more information on joining the Alumni Association please contact The Office of Alumni Relations.

Getting the Card

The Griz Card Center can issue you a Griz Card once the approval process has been completed and your status can be verified in the computer system.

Come to the Griz Card Center, located on the 1st floor of the University Center. You will need to bring $15 cash, check, Visa or Mastercard for your first card, and a photo ID. Acceptable forms of photo ID include: a Federal or State Government issued identification (ex: driver's license), a passport, military ID, highschool ID, or other government issued photo ID. Griz Card Center personnel will take your photo, and your card will be printed at that time.
