Temporary Cards

Temporary Cards are available for checkout when a Griz Card is temporarily lost. Cardholders are allowed three free temporary cards per semester, each lasting one week. By checking out a temporary card, your Griz Card functions will be transferred to the temporary card, and your real Griz Card will be deactivated until you return the temporary card. Photo ID is required to checkout a temporary card. If you were issued a Griz Card after August 2008, photo ID may not be necessary as we have your photo on file. Lost or mutilated temporary cards are subject to a $10 lost temp card fee.

Replacement Cards

Replacement Cards for permanently lost or stolen cards are available. By purchasing a replacement card, your lost or stolen card will be deactivated and all of the Griz Card functions (e.g. accounts, access, tickets) will be transferred to the new card. Photo ID is required, and there is a $10 replacement card fee. If you were issued a Griz Card after August 2008, photo ID may not be necessary as we have your photo on file.

Trade Cards

Trade Cards are replacement cards for damaged cards. The cardholder must trade the old, worn out or damaged card to get a new card at the cost of $5. Photo ID is required. If you were issued a Griz Card after August 2008, photo ID may not be necessary as we have your photo on file.

Passport & Visa Photos

Standard photos issued by the Griz Card Center can be used for passports, visas, and applications. Our office will print four copies of the photo for a cost of $10.

Photo Details:

  • Photos are full color and standard 2x2 inches
  • Our office suggests wearing a non-white shirt for the photo
  • Eyeglasses can be worn if normally used by the subject
  • Headpieces can be included if worn daily for religious purposes; they should not obscure or cast shadows on the eyes or other parts of the face

Deposits to UMoney

UMoney deposits can be made for immediate use at the Griz Card Center using cash, check, Visa or Mastercard. Cash deposits can also be made using the VTS machine located outside the Griz Card Center's front doors. The Griz Card Center also provides other methods to deposit UMoney.

Student Teacher Badges

The College of Education & Human Sciences requires students to wear identification badges when observing and student teaching in schools. There is a $3 fee for Student Teacher Badges. Photo ID is required. If you were issued a Griz Card after August 2008, photo ID may not be necessary as we have your photo on file.

Special Programs, Name Badges, and Conferences

The Griz Card Center manages and distributes special program, conference, and name badge cards. Please visit the Departments section or contact the Griz Card Center for more information.

Lanyards

The Griz Card Center has lanyards made especially for holding your Griz Card and keys. The handy snap and release allows for quick action when you're on the go, and the lanyard will not damage your card. Lanyards allow you to grab one thing when you're heading out the door and decrease your chance of losing the card.
