Retirees & Lifetime Retirees

What is a Griz Card?

The Griz Card is the official University of Montana identification card for students, faculty and staff. It provides easy access to University of Montana resources and packs a wealth of innovative technologies into one powerful and convenient card. Please read the Griz Card Terms and Conditions.

How do I get a Griz Card?

Retirees seeking Griz Cards should go to the Griz Card Center and staff will verify their retirement status with Human Resources. Retirees who have been in the service of the University for 15 or more years have Lifetime Retiree privileges and the card fee will be waived.

Getting the Card

Come to the Griz Card Center, located on the 1st floor of the University Center. You will need to bring $15 cash, check, Visa or Mastercard for your first card, and a photo ID. Acceptable forms of photo ID include: a Federal or State Government issued identification (ex: driver's license), a passport, military ID, highschool ID, or other government issued photo ID.
