I am an avid reader and love a good game of Ultimate Frisbee. I enjoy snowboarding and painting, running and playing my alto saxophone, amongst other things. I am a member of Alpha Lambda Delta, Golden Key, Order of Omega and Mortar Board Honor Societies, as well as the Vice President: Finance and one of the founding members of the University of Montana Student Alumni Association. In addition to my fraternal officerships, I am a founding member of the UM Men of Strength Club (MOST), an organization committed to ending sexual assault and gender oppression on campus, as well as being a Student At Large for ASUM on the Information Technologies, Relations and Affairs, Student Outreach and Marketing, and UM Recreation Center Committees. I also am an award-winning professional undergraduate biochemistry researcher in the Samuels' Lab on campus in the field of Lyme Borreliology, specifically dealing with rRNA ribosomal composition, interactions, and genetic expression. In terms of traditional community service, I have helped to clean the Grizzly Stadium after Griz games and have volunteered at the Poverello Center in the past. My involvement in Phi Delta Theta was initially fueled by a desire to develop myself as a leader and be able to shape a fraternal chapter to be the greatest it can be, as I am a Re-Founding Father of the Montana Alpha chapter on our campus. In my time with Phi Delta Theta, going from our beginnings as a 10 man interest group to the largest fraternity on campus at about 50 men in a year, I have served my chapter as both the Risk Management Chairman and New Member Educator. Going Greek is one of the best decisions I've ever made with my life.

Current House Position: Public Relations and Alumni Relations
Major: Sociology Major with an Option in Criminology and a Minor in Communication
I am a current Junior at the University of Montana. I am apart of the SARC Outreach Program and Volunteer with the Missoula Police department. In my spare time I am a avid outdoorsmen. I love to mountain climb and rock climb but most of all I love to ski. I became a Greek in the Spring of 2011 because I felt that I was lacking something in my life. I wanted a leadership opportunity and to be apart of an organization that was bigger then just an individual. I gravitated towards the Sigma Chi Fraternity because of the leadership that I saw within the house. I noticed that there were very different personalities within the house and it appeared to me that the individuality was widely accepted. Becoming a Greek has been the best decision of my life.

Fraternity: Sigma Nu
Current House Position: President
Major: biology major with a focus in secondary education.
Legally know as Philip James Kane IV, known casually as JR. I'm currently a sophomore (junior fall 2012). Among that I am also the President of the Sigma Nu fraternity as well as an all around badass. The Greek system and Sigma Nu has become my family away from home and is easily the best decision I have ever made. When I'm not getting my Greek on, I'm usually running around like a 5 year old, cutting down slack lines, and living up the time I have in college.

- IFC Recruitment ChairFraternity: Kappa Sigma
Current House Position: Grand Master of Ceremonies, Social Chair, Recruitment Chair, Pledge Educator, and Awards Chair
Major: Psychology with Research Emphasis
I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, yard games, $1 bowling, going downtown, working for MDSC, and most of all fratting it up with my Kappa Sigma brothers. I am apart of the Psychology Club here on campus. I enjoy volunteering at the YMCA and Relay For Life. I donate money to Military Hero's Campaign and to various sorority philanthropies. My fraternity gives me leadership opportunities and keeps me involved on campus. The reasons I went greek was to get involved with the University, to make a name for myself and my organization, because it looks good on my resume, and most of all to start my own traditions that will still be here 50 years down the road.

If it has wheels, I can fix it or make it better. Member of Northwest Modern Mopar. VFR certified for small aircraft. I have a Recreational Pilot License for small aircraft and am looking into helicopter certification. I volunteer at Habitat for Humanity in the summer when I'm not working as well as the local animal shelter. I went Greek because I met a few great guys on campus who just happened to be in SigEp. I honestly didn't even have it on my radar until they started talking about the fraternity the second or third time I had hung out with them. What sealed the deal for me was, simply put, a football game; one in which I hairline fractured my tibia in. When I hit the goal post (the ground was very icy) the collective effort of the two guys I knew and ten of their brothers to make sure I got the help I needed was incredible. They first drove me to Curry, but since it was a weekend they didn't have an x-ray technician to check out my leg. They then repeated the arduous task of loading me into the back seat of a Dodge Neon and took me to St. Patrick's Hospital. For nearly three hours, each and every one of them waited in the emergency room lobby for me to hobble out on my crutches. They made me feel like I was their brother, even though most of them had only just met me that day. To add to that, I found out that they shared many of my ideals and some even aspired to further their education in graduate school. Almost immediately, the stereotypical fraternity image was shattered. That is why I became a brother of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

Major: Environmental Studies, minoring in Philosophy and Climate Change Studies
I’m a member of the Student Alumni Association, Hillel, and Climate Action Now, and during my free time I enjoy driving, running, and late night discussions of ethics over dark chocolate. I volunteer with local pet shelters on my own time, and help to coordinate Greek involvement with community service for things like trash cleanup and Relay for Life. I joined Phi Delta Theta in February of 2012, drawn to the group of outstanding, professional, intelligent, and kind men working to revive the image of a true gentleman. I was amazed at the level of service that all fraternities and sororities do for their community, which is unknown by most people outside of the Greek system. As someone who used to be very cynical of fraternities, I’ve jumped headlong into Greek Life and feel like I’m part of a group of people who truly make a difference.
