Residence Life Office

Residence Life provides safe, clean, healthy, and affordable living and learning facilities that fosters an inclusive community living environment for students, staff, faculty, and guests. The Residence Life Office manages three areas, Residence Halls, Lewis and Clark Village, and University Villages, which provides a variety of housing options for single students, students with dependents, and University guests. Services provided in these facilities support and nurture educational experiences and personal development at The University of Montana.

Housing Options

Residence Halls

The Residence Halls offer a variety of room type options including single rooms, double rooms, 3-person pods, and 4-person suites as well as different Living Learning Communities. The Residence Halls are primarily for student housing during the Fall and Spring Academic Semesters, however, guest and conference housing may be available for special programs and Summer Session.

Lewis and Clark

Image of the outside of a Lewis and Clark apartment building.Lewis and Clark Village is available for students with 60+ earned credits and graduate students. Lewis and Clark Village offers year round housing for single students in 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom apartments.  Apartments include private bedrooms with shared bathroom, kitchen, and living area.  All utilities including cable TV and Internet are in one convenient price available to be paid monthly or each semester. Guest housing may be available during the summer depending on availability.

University Villages

The University Villages consists of three villages, Craighead/Sission, Elliot, and Toole, which range in studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom, and 4-bedroom apartments. University Villages offer year round housing with a variety of options at different rates.
