
The Desk Assistant (DA) is a student staff member who assists the community development of the residence hall by providing excellent customer service at the residence hall front desk. Desk Assistants help residents by answering questions from students and guests, checking out temporary access cards and keys, disbursing packages, answering the phone, and providing general customer service for resources provided at the front desks. Compensation: This position varies in hours per week and is paid state minimum wage- $7.80 per hour.
All Desk Assistant candidates must complete a Desk Assistant Application to be considered for the position. Applications will be accepted at any time, however, most positions are filled in early June for positions beginning in late August and continue for the entire academic year. Additional positions may be filled throughout the academic year as needed.
DA candidates will be interviewed as needed to fill positions. There is not a specific time when all candidates will be interviewed.
DA candidates will be contacted if offered a position. Applications are kept on file for one year and candidates may contact Residence Life at any time if they have questions.
