The Supervisory Staff (Head Resident and Assistant Head Resident) are the live-in staff in charge of a residence hall(s) consisting of 350 to 650 students and is directly responsible for the assigned building(s) and staff. They serve as a liaison between the University administration and the residents of the hall; foster an atmosphere for academic, social, cultural and emotional growth in the residence hall by serving as a supervisor and advisor to the residents; assist the resident assistants in enforcement of all University and hall policies; are responsible for the general well-being, community development and a student learning environment in the residence hall. Compensation: Supervisory Staff earn an on-campus room or apartment, meal plan and stipend based on their residence hall placement. For the 2014-2015 academic year Assistant Head Residents earn $13,957.00 and Head Residents earn $14,957.00.
2014-2015 Supervisor Application Process
All Supervisor candidates must complete an online application to be considered for the position. Both the New Supervisor Application and the Returning Supervisor Application open on November 11, 2013 and will close on January 29, 2014.
All Supervisor candidates must attend a 30-minute individual interview. These interviews will take place January 30-February 12, 2014. This interview will consist of a question and answer session to understand your interest in the position and related experience.
All new Supervisor candidates must do a presentation as a part of the interview process. These presentations will take place January 30-February 12, 2014. The prompt will be available by December 2, 2013.
All Supervisor candidates will be notified of their hiring status on February 14, 2014.
