Events Calendar Software
UM has specialized events publishing software to run the Campus Calendar and department calendars at http://events.umt.edu. It runs the open source UNL Event Publisher software.
Notable Features
- Each department can have their own calendar (or multiple calendars if needed)
- Calendars can subscribe to other calendars (for instance, your department's calendar could have the Academic Calendar events automatically)
- Individual events can be "promoted" with one click to the main UM campus calendar (upon approval of University Relations)
- Web users can subscribe to events via RSS Feed or through their own calendar program (such as Outlook)
- Calendars will share consistent style across The University
- The software will be kept fully accessible
- Multiple departmental users can keep the calendar up-to-date with granular permission control
Requesting a Calendar
To request a calendar, send an email to SAProgrammers@mso.umt.edu with the following information:
- the name of the calendar you want (appears at the top of the calendar)
- the URL folder name (http://events.umt.edu/calendar_folder_name)
- and the name and NetID's of each authorized contributor and if they should have full permissions or limited permissions
